Slow ?

Hi,

I just signed up for an account and I'm only able to get around 200KB/s whereas I can normally easily push around 1MB/s...is it just me ?

Thanks for replying, that would explain why it was a bit slow. Do you possibly have an ETA when it would be fixed ? smile.gif

its somewhat back to normal, but i'm ordering a new switch, should be replaced tuesday or wed.

Yeah, the speeds have improved to about 600 KB/s.

the new switch should be even faster.. "should" , being replaced tuesday

Yup, I am looking forward to that, because at the moment I am getting a lightspeed-fast 20 to 40kb/s, as compared to the usual 400kb/s, which I am none too happy about since Filezilla reports:

"Response: Current Server Speed: 3.854 MBytes/s"

So maybe I will leech on bittorrent until Tuesday, or put up with waiting for 2 hours just to download a 172mb Xvid encode.

ok, switch replaced. uplink has been switched directly to core router using gbic. how are your speeds?
