CD ripping

I want a free program that rips CDs into mp3 files. That's all I want it to do XD otherwords i'd use itunes or something.

any suggestions?

cdex for a simple one and exact audio copy for an advanced one

CDex is probably what you're looking for.

I'd also suggest MediaMonkey. While it does "other stuff" as well, it is really good at tagging and filename manipulation - I use it to both rip and organize my files (I don't actually listen to music in it).

AudioGrabber. It even has a feature to connect to a free online database to retrieve artist, album and track data and put it directly on the resulting MP3s.

Well, most decent rippers can do that. I know both CDex and MediaMonkey hit Freedb in order to fill out the ID3 tags.
