Well lately, either i've slowly been going deaf, or people around me are talking louder cause I could swear that even at max volume, the music volume on my phone is LOW. Like I can make out an exterior convo perfectly while listening to my music at max, I dont have this issue with an ipod, so I asked around and other people using nokia phones have the same issue. So im curious, do you guys have similar issues with other or similar brands. And if you do, have any suggestions cause someone told me to increase the bitrate on my music files and im not even certain how to do that.

I keep my cellphone volume at around 70% volume and that's loud enough for the mp3 i use as a ring tone. Your ring tone file could happen to have a low volume, in which case you'd need to normalize it.

Im gonna check out that mp3gain program. My ringtone is more than loud enough for me to hear, but my phone is an mp3 phone so any mp3 files I use as music isn't loud enough if I were to use earphones for some reason. Compared to the loud speaker on my phone, the earphones are nothing. And no, ive used multiple earphones to view the change, no improvement so far.
