I was just revisiting Bleach 123 and saw the part where Hirako tells Ichigo that he knew about the Hougyoku, the Arrancar and Aizen Sousuke. Specifically when he said he knew about it for years.

Now, my wild theory is that they knew of Aizen plans since before he even faked his death, and they happen to be after the Hougyoku themselves. I was wondering, is Ichigo being used again in this arc, for someone else's interests? (this time not Urahara's, but the Vizard's)

probably..but I think he kind of threw a little wrench into any plans..since Hirako I think was against him going off to HM so soon..before his training was done..would be hurtful for them if he died before they could use him.

i think also they know that if ichigo can master teh vaizard skills, then they are all t3h pwnt against him aha they probably see his potential regardless of his lack of "talent." if they train and raise ichigo as a vaizard, he would be on their side, but with him just skipping town like that they don't know what's going to happen. plus, if they are going to go against aizen, they need everyone they can get, which includes ichigo. we don't really know much about the vaizards, so the theory is definately a good possibility; we've learned nothing about any of their motives other than that they didn't like aizen and were preparing to defend themselves against hueco mundo. i wonder what they would do with the hougyoku though, what if they could use it to turn shinigamis into vaizards! aha make it a giant clusterfizzle.

The fact that a mob of humans more powerful than Shinigami or Hollows of any sort randomly appeared without anyone ever noticing before has struck me as odd.

course they knew about them..just you didn't know Urahara knew..Ichigo's father knew..i'm sure SS knows..no point in messing with them if they aren't killing humans or messin up the balance or somethin though.

Well they arent a whole new breed of species, they are evolved Shinigamis. So i think Soul Society must know of them. Or it is like Claymore, when strugling with their life they will either evolve or die.
