One piece getting repetitive?

I use to be a hardcore onepiece fan but im starting to get wary of it,I notice that the fights are seriously getting repetitive.
For example, the crew gets hurt then falls then comes up with a brand new move which we will probably never see again. Also you never see them train for anything,it just pops up:XP: Getting kinda like dbz but in dbz they actually train before doing somthing crazy:snicker:

I know what you mean, even though I personally don't really mind it. The stories are always pretty interesting, and even though they learn knew moves out of no where, the fights themselves are pretty different, I would say . . . also, The Straw Hats don't start off the strongest, but get there eventually, perhaps not through training, but what I like to call the 'X-Factor.' When one of their dear nakama is in trouble, they summon inhuman abilities from unknown depths . . .

X-factor..:snicker: Anyways,I guess I've seen it so much in anime that it seems old to me.

Hehe, yeah, I understand where you're coming from . . . One Piece can get formulaic at times . . . but at the same time I feel as though the anime series is just getting started (ei: there will be a lot more to come), so hopefully the writers can mix things up a bit in the future to keep One Piece fans engaged.

Well, they do train, it's just not a huge focus of the show. Which I actually prefer over the long episodes of DBZ with Goku doing push-ups on a spaceship, or Bleach with Urahara having Ichigo do some inexplicable training, or Naruto trying not to pop a balloon. To me those episodes just seem like a long waste of time, so I'm glad One Piece never does them, just refers to them as already happened.
As for the repetitiveness,
it's not that the fights are getting repetitive, I just think that CP9 fighting styles are a little too same-ish, not unique enough, so it's been like watching a lot of the same fights at Enies Lobby. Despite some great scenes I feel like Enies Lobby has been one of the weaker arcs for One Piece, owing mostly to the lack of a villain on the level of Crocodile or Enel. I mean Lucci is cool (his attempt to drown them all was commendable) but nowhere near as crazy while Spanda, even though he's pretty despicable, he's just too weak to take seriously.
Agreed, Mister Twit, except . . .
I have mixed feelings about the CP9 Members having similar abilities. I think I like it for the most part, only because it adds a different dynamic to them as opponents. Usually you just had to deal with one at a time on a one-on-one basis, and no one was like any other. Actually, now that I think about it, a lot of old enemies did have similarities, just not ones that had a huge impact in battle (Arlong Park Shark-men with Shark-like abilities, Skypeia Priests with knowledge of dials and mantra). And I also really enjoy the abilities themselves for the CP9 members, I think Soru and Tekkai are friggin' sweet.

ahhh nearly opened that last spoiler, i'm off to bleach my eyeballs....
but seriously there is a similar formatt to just about every "combat" style anime and a hell of a lot of games. How many could be sumerised by saying guy gets his ass handed to him trains himself up, beats the minions of the bad guy then beats him. hell a whole ton of films from anywhere in the world follow that formula. Its not the formula that counts, its the journey and the kick ass fights.
After the Arlong Park arc I was convinced its worth watching whatevers going on.

Oda did say that he won't make the reading bored putting too much training into the series. I mean I so
the show. Zoro is the only one I see training tho, but its ain't as much as it had unlike db. I mean like the new attacks are sweet, because is like a new twist. Who woulda expect gear 3 being that big, and crazy. Knocking down a battleship just by 1 attack.
